MUSIC

Lomond Campbell/FOUND:
a razor sharp set from FOUND's notorious frontman, travelling under the banner Lomond Campbell. FOUND are an experimental pop band / arts collective from Edinburgh, signed to Chemikal Underground and Domino Publishing. Of recent they've unshackled the UNRAVEL exhibition with Aidan Moffat , released chocolate vinyls, scooped up a Scottish BAFTA win (Best Interactive category) and were shortlisted for Scottish Album of the Year shortlist (with their most recent LP factorycraft). They've recorded radio sessions for BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and BBC Radio Scotland including a recording in John Peel's studio at Maida Vale. They also recorded an exclusive live session in the legendary 'Beatles Studio' at Abbey Road for US radio station U-Pop XM 29. http://foundtheband.com/

Edinburgh School for the Deaf:
White Noise Pop echoes with shades of Jesus and the Mary Chain and Neu! They're an extravaganza to behold both sight and sound - expect amp climbing, audience interruption, stage intervention, lots of powerful turns of phrase and perambulations. Grant among them, was song-writer in the band Saint Jude's Infirmary who made two albums in collaboration with Iain Rankin, Jack Vetrriano and a disgraced Russian physic before bloodily imploding in an art gallery in Liverpool. Recently they supported Vic Goddard and the Subway Sec, with an eager reviewer spouting Edinburgh School for the Deaf were runts rescued from drowning, all curvature of the spine and (from the singer) witch-like graspings at the air; the twin guitarists were like the Magic Band with rigor mortis.powerful because so powerless. Of course freaks get the sympathy, how could I forget that? It was wonderful. www.edinburghschoolforthedeaf.com
