MORE INFO

VIC GODARD w/Douglas MacIntyre (The Sexual Objects)

In 1976, Godard formed Subway Sect with three other fans of the Sex Pistols at the suggestion of Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren, who wanted another band for the line-up of the 100 Club Punk Festival. Despite their inexperience, Subway Sect made a successful debut at the festival and were taken on by Clash manager Bernie Rhodes. They appeared with The Clash on the White Riot Tour in 1977 and released their debut single, "Nobody's Scared"/"Don't Split It", in March 1978.....FULL BIO: http://www.vicgodard.co.uk/bio.html

"Whenever Godard adopted a style it became a genre and when it became a genre ... he did something else" The Daily Telegraph, London

"I fell totally into that thing Vic Godard said 'We oppose All Rock N Roll', Avoid all these cliches" Lawrence, Felt (Mojo Magazine, May 2012)

MOMUS
(named after the Greek god of mockery) is the artist name of Nick Currie, born in Paisley, Scotland and currently living in Japan. For over twenty years he’s been releasing albums of weird and poignant songs in a dizzying array of styles on independent labels like 4AD, el and Creation. He is one of underground music’s most controversial and influential provocateurs: from his early days with the Happy Family in the 1980s through his digital troubadour incarnations of the 2000s, Currie has lent his style to Pulp, Beck, the Divine Comedy, and others while remaining fiercely political and uncompromising in his artistic vision. Momus also performs as ‘the unreliable tour guide‘, giving absurdist tours of museums around the world. He’s published three books, a novel told entirely through jokes and two books imagining parallel futures for Scotland and Japan. His live shows are vaudevillian and unmissable. http://imomus.com/
